Creativity is the quality or ability to create or invent something; originality. Eniqo epitomizes this definition. The struggles of a dreamer with unrelenting ambition and a unique approach have helped her to construct a podium from which she can give the world a bit of her truth.
Born in Monroe, Louisiana, it was narrow streets, canal ditches and mossy trees that first inspired the imaginings of Eniqo. By grade school her life was transitioned to Dallas, Texas, where the years ahead began to rebirth a song bird full of personalities, styles, talents and limitless perception. Eniqo’s music is a combination soul-stirring tones and thought quenching lyrics that have an insistent way of affecting listeners beyond description. It was James McLaughlin, head of Woodyard Entertainment LLC., and his belief and faith in Eniqo throughout the creation of “Paradox”, her debut album, that enabled her to give more of herself through music. Paradox is a confessional of how to take a journey filled with trials and lessons to be learned, and turn them into triumphs. Every stage of her development, every truth, every joy and every pain is documented in this pilgrimage through that which is Eniqo, and even more so ... life. She does not hide behind the music … She is the music. She has, with pen and pad, confessed to you her rendition of life in her own words. She wrote every single song, and the arrangements and lyrics flowed from this place in her that you cannot describe as anything other than her soul. She sang every single note, even those that linger in that background. It is without question that Paradox is an experience to be had. “From greasy hairbrushes in the bathroom mirror … to world-class studios state-to-state … I lost and found myself time and time again on this journey … this is the struggle that ultimately becomes my success. These are my truths, these are things that I have actually felt, endured and ultimately overcome. That’s the story I want to tell because if it’s real for me then it’s real for someone else and that someone else is the reason I do this. I want to be a living testimony for those who are lost in a belief that they can't change things or change themselves. "Paradox" makes the things that I have gone through mean something. When others learn from my pain then it's not pain anymore ... it becomes my peace." -Eniqo It will at times make you dance, at others make you cry, make you think … make you sigh. But, it will make you feel something and leave you significantly affected.
